Hegra Ref: HG3 Rollon Ref: HTT030
Hegra Precision Telescopic Slides are
manufactured to the highest quality in Germany. The FOW2030 is a partial
extension slide with a very shallow profile, yet exceptionally robust. This is
a heavy load/duty partial extension telescopic slide (50-120kg/pair)
suitable for a wide range of applications. At 400mm 1 pair has a full
extension load capacity of 110Kg.
Specified where a low profile slide is required in this format and also in full stainless steel. Used extensively on train/vehicle seating and military communications systems. Basically any rugged and demanding application where space envelope is tight.
Prices are per single slide. Load ratings are given per extended pair. There are two slides per pair. Hegra slides are manufactured to order. Please allow 5 weeks for delivery.

Suitable Applications for this Product
Defence - Ground, marine and air defence vehicle applications such as equipment stowage, mountings for weapon systems and racks for electronic systems
Applications can range from slide based storage systems, lockers and furniture, through rack mounted electronic components, and onto operational and weapon systems requiring linear movement. If required products manufactured from high grade stainless steel can be supplied offering highest levels of corrosion resistance and low magnetic signatures.

Motor Manufacturing Plant - Telescopic Slide and Linear Rail components for lineside delivery and component handling systems
Linear rail and telescopic slide products for component delivery and handling at line-sideassembly stations.
The breadth of our product range gives you an unparalleled advantage when engineering solutions for delivery systems that have to accommodate large irregular shaped components or sub assemblies within space restricted line-side delivery stillages.
Correct selection and specification of the slide system will ensure maximisation of the space inside the delivery stillage and production efficiency while accommodating the natural variations of manual handling present in a time sensitive assembly environment.
Offshore/Civil Marine - From cruise ships to offshore oil rigs, there is a vast range of applications for slides in marine vessels.
Applications can range from slide based storage systems, lockers and furniture, through rack mounted electronic components, and onto operational systems requiring linear movement.
Whether specifying product for a 19" electronic rack or to mount standby generator, the telescopic slide system needs to retain rigidity and be safe to operate despite ship motion and vibration.
Our range includes heavy duty stainless steel slides (partial or full extension), and can be bespoke engineered with a range of options in respect of surface hardening, strengthening and corrosion resistant finishes to ensure flawless operation in the chosen application.
With its extensive expertise and design capability we can work closely with your own engineering team to design and produce complete drawer sub-assemblies, taking account of all the special characteristics required for the product to work effectively in the marine environment.
Telescopic slide components for storage and equipment stowage areas; slide and linear rail components for operational machinery. Whilst offshore installations are generally static structures and so do not require the telescopic slide components to be able to withstand the same dynamic forces, issues of corrosion and the ability to operate reliably in the marine environment remain unchanged.
From high precision roller-bearing slides and systems through to standard stainless steel slides for use in staff accommodation areas, we are able to provide expert input and select an appropriate product from its range to match the application.

02. Hegra Performance
The Performance Range of slides is manufactured from professionally cold drawn steel sections. The quality of the section is the best available and the bearings are hand fitted to give a slight pre-load with minimal play in the beams. A poorly fitted cold drawn steel slide will suffer with bearing migration and other associated problems.
Special Vehicles - Specialist conversions of vehicles and trailers, for example mobile exhibition trailers, coaches and horse boxes with pull-out platforms, generators, workshops and other features.
For the adaptation of coaches, trucks and trailers our heavier duty slides are generally required. Load distribution, method of operation and locking are crucial points for consideration when selecting components and designing such applications.
It is recommended that locking systems external to the slides are installed with secure lock-in and lock-out features to eliminate any risk of injury to members of the public using the adapted unit.
When selecting a model of slide based on its load capacity allowance should be made for the likelihood that the load may not be evenly distributed and where people are involved the load will be mobile and varying.
Our product range includes heavy duty partial and full extension slides able to carry loads of 600 KG to 2,000 KG at extensions of 2,000 mm to 800 mm.
Roadside assistance and other categories of vehicle that need to stow and provide easy access to equipment can be enhanced through appropriate use of telescopic drawer slide and linear rail systems.
The twin requirements of operator safety and operational effectiveness are of paramount importance. GSF's ability to select and adapt from an unrivalled base product range, and its ability to assist with the design of bespoke and space-saving drawer systems enable us to make a significant contribution to your own product design.
Trains - From heavy duty under-train battery rafts to high-repeat door systems and, increasingly, sliding seat systems, Sliding Systems has products that suit all of these applications
The use of telescopic slides or linear rails to mount train doors requires a product able to deal with both the dynamic loads and crash survival criteria that are inevitably relevant to train-based applications. In addition the components have to operate reliably and with low maintenance requirements over a very high number of repetitions. Doors on underground trains are required typically to open and close up to 20 times an hour day after day over the working life of the carriage.
To withstand such a high level of repetitions, the ball bearings and the associated ball track tracks need to be hardened to resist pitting and corrosion. Cold drawn steel slides also perform better over time, as the slide profile is less prone to long term profile deformation than is the case for cold rolled profiles.
Train operators are increasingly offering adjustable seating in first class passenger compartments. Simplicity and durability are key determinants of which linear rail and slide components will work successfully in ensuring that the seat operates reliably as intended and without a requirement for maintenance activity.
